So, who is this woman, claiming that she can edit anything and everything? Well, let me introduce myself.

I'm Erica Nelson (soon-to-be Erica Sikma) and a senior at Oakland University. I graduated from Oakland Community College with my Associate in Liberal Arts, and am thisclose to completing my Bachelor in English.

I've been editing essays and papers for what feels like forever. I edited my mother's papers when she went back to earn her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees. My friends and other family members have benefited from my editing as well. Brigitte Knudson, my favorite English teacher, has often called me "The Grammar Nazi." She taught the majority of my English courses in high school, where I ultimately sat through her classes for four out of six classes per day. I learned a lot from her, and about myself, as well as my writing.

I have worked for SCN Communications Group, the publisher of several publications, such as Spinal Column Newsweekly, Oakland Lakefront, and Preferred Oakland Homes. I worked in the proofing department, alongside the sales reps and production department to create quality documents for clients.

You obviously love writing, otherwise you wouldn't be checking out my site. I love reading and editing, and with my background in writing, I am more than able (and willing!) to take your writing to the next level.
