Marianne is a singer/songwriter and has been a professional musician for 30 years. She is proficient in sight reading and plays piano, guitar, and penny whistle. She also teaches piano, voice, and guitar at a local music store, Milford Music. She has performed on WJR, WDET, (Wayne State University), at U of M Michigan, Ann Arbor Library Concert Series, Chieftains, Center for Creative Studies, Rochester Library Series, Oakland County Brown Bag Lunch Concerts, Comerica Park (Tigers' Stadium), Huron Valley Council for the Arts, "Tunes for Tots", Martin Luther King march, "Kids for Peace," and the Keltic Kettle Coffee House, as well as being a founding member just to name a few. Marianne has written and recorded three CD's of her original material, and has been a vocal guest on other artists' albums.
Marianne currently teaches pre-school, kindergarten, and elementary music in several Montessori schools, designing a curriculum to include theory, history, and performance outlets. She has also worked for Milford Memories art festival as both a performer and a music coordinator. Each year Marianne also organizes a Veterans Memorial concert with her students from Milford Music to benefit local Veterans. This concert really helps her students develop a deeper connection and appreciation of both music and the sacrifices those that have fought for our country have made.
